The European Socialcar project is coming to an end, and on Tuesday, 17 April the results of the project will be presented in the final conference heldThe European Socialcar project is coming to an end, and on Tuesday, 17 April the results of the project will be presented in the final conference held during the 7th edition of the Transport Research Arena in Vienna, the European Conference on Research and Development of Transport and Mobility, which annually hosts over 600 international initiatives and presentations. Funded by the European Unions Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, Socialcar is an important sustainable mobility project designed to improve the way people move in urban and suburban areas, whose research work has led to the creation of the infomobility Ride My Route platform that allows users to integrate public and private transport. The city of Brescia has joined the project as a partner together with other 25 European countries and has actively participated in the testing phase of the platform in the local area. The results obtained in the 36 months of work will be presented during the final conference, with a particular focus on the innovation and development tools used to create the platform. Representing Brescia during the event, Massimo Santi, winner of the Supernova 2016 Hackathon promoted by Brescia Mobilit, will present the project that earned him second place at the Y4PT World Hackathon in Montreal 2017, participation made possible thanks to the important collaboration between Brescia Mobilit and Socialcar. The work carried out for the Socialcar project will also be continued in the Brescia area: the new Brescia urban transport app that Brescia Mobilit will present in the coming months was inspired by a spin off of the Ride My Route app.
