San Faustino Station - Illustration of the ancient moat of the Garza River and Porta Pile Bridge
Thanks to the partnership between the City of Brescia, the Brescia Underground Association, the Brescia Mobilità Group and Brescia Infrastrutture, and thanks to the contribution of ORMA - Mari Basso Family Social Solidarity Fund, a maxi installation was inaugurated in the San Faustino subway station, accompanying the archaeological site that is an integral part of the station and that makes it unique with respect to all the others.
The installation consists of a high resolution image that shows what was present in the ground before the construction of the subway station and a placard - in both Italian and English for the benefit of those interested in the city's evolution - explaining the history of the place and showing a floor plan of the period (Iseppo Cuman, 1667) with a photograph of the bridge dating back to the late nineteenth century.
